There are some movies that are worthy to be released at 12:01am at theatres across the country and others (namely Indiana Jones) that are unworthy. “The Dark Knight” the new batman movie that was released to the public last night is not only worthy but is an instant classic. At times it is extremely dark (in fact, it would be a great topic of a film and theology class), intense, stressful, full of action, humor, classic comic book storyline put into today’s film culture, and the acting of Heath Ledger as the Joker is a performance that should win an Oscar.
You hardly feel that you just watched a 2 1/2 hour movie as the plot and characters compel you throughout the film. I really hope that this is not the last of these Batman movies, as I wouldn’t even blink at the opportunity to go see it again. This movie is a must see, even if you have to walk to the theater to save $4 a gallon in gas to help pay for the admission. (One more thing, the preview for the new Terminator movie that will be starring Christian Bale looks pretty interesting.)

kudos to the makers Dark Knight for their record breaking opening weekend… it’s no wonder there’s talk of another one coming out ASAP
