The book begins by following a man named Zerubbabel and Jeshua the high priest as they leave Babylon for the destroyed and broken city of Jerusalem, where they would restore and rebuild the [...]

My sister, Stephany, Micah and I went to the ASU vs. UNLV football game on Saturday night. It was my wife’s first ASU game and unfortunately they lost in overtime. ASU dropped out of the AP poll rankings and fell to #24 in the USA Today poll.
I don’t want to say that my wife cursed the [...]

This morning we had the opportunity to visit Mars Hill Church. I have been very blessed by the teaching and ministry of Pastor Mark Driscoll and Mars Hill. Their desire to reach people in culture with the transforming message of Jesus while planting churches throughout the US and internationally through the Acts 29 church planting network is [...]

Tonight we went to Safeco Field to watch the Mariners play the hated New York Yankees (though there was a large crowd of Yankee supporters). The Yankees won the game 7-4, which was the only game they won in this three game set. Our friends who came with us on the trip are big Yankee [...]

We arrived in Seattle tonight and after checking into our hotel on Lake Union we made our way over to the Space Needle. Being afraid of heights (yes, I am willing to admit it) I had some hesitations about going up 520 feet into the needle, however I am very glad I did because it [...]

We leave this Friday [...]

The winter hockey league started up last night! Unfortunately, I have been sick and was not able to play because of this stubborn head cold. We beat the Cobras 7-4. All of our games are played at Arcadia Ice Arena in Phoenix.

Thank the Lord that even though the New Orleans levee system was challenged by Hurricane Gustav – no breaches have been found. (picture is the Industrial Canal in New Orleans, with some waves over topping the levee wall)
I know many of you have been praying that the storm would die out and not cause the amount [...]
