Here we go again

The winter hockey league started up last night!  Unfortunately, I have been sick and was not able to play because of this stubborn head cold.  We beat the Cobras 7-4.  All of our games are played at Arcadia Ice Arena in Phoenix.

The Season is Over

Ice Hockey (1st Rd. Playoffs)

Tonight was the first round of the playoffs as we faced off against the Maroons.  We scored goals early and often as we jumped out early to a 4-0 first period.  The outcome of the game was never in doubt as we went on to win 9-2.  I scored two goals and had an assist.   [...]

Ice Hockey (Game 15)

Tonight was the final game of the regular season, in which we beat the Green Team 8-4; and secured the #3 seed in the playoffs.  We play the 6th seeded Maroons at 9:10pm at the Arcadia Ice Arena next Tuesday night.  The playoffs are a double elimination format that will last over the next 4 weeks.

Tonight we played the Mustangs and well there isn’t too much to blog about.  We were forced to forfeit in the first period down 3-0, because of 2 game misconduct penalties and our captain chosing to forfeit.  So needless to say, I hope this never happens again.

Well tonight, we actually came out really slow and found ourselves in an early 2-0 hole.  Though we had a ton of shots on net through two periods, we were only able to muster one goal.  Then the third period started, and trailing 3-1, we went on to score 6 goals to win 7-4.

Tonight we played the Mustangs and won 2-1.  It was a good game as the Mustangs found themselves with a short bench and I can imagine were pretty tired by the end of the night.  We once again jumped over .500 and look to put a couple wins together.
